About me

My Story. My Voice. My Way.

I am a Teddington based celebrant, working across South West London, Surrey, and beyond, wherever life’s important moments are being marked. I create thoughtful, personal ceremonies that feel genuine, carefully guided, and true to the people at the heart of every story.

Family and friendship are central to my life. I am married to my husband Andrew, and we have two grown-up daughters, Ella and Annabel. Watching them find their own paths has been one of life’s great privileges, and being a mum has deeply influenced how I listen, care, and connect with others. I value the moments that bring people together, whether to celebrate, to welcome, or to reflect, and this sense of connection underpins everything I do as a celebrant.

Experience you can trust

Before training as a celebrant, I spent over thirty years working in education as a class teacher, deputy headteacher, and senior lecturer in primary education. This experience shaped a calm, organised, and people centred approach, grounded in clear communication, careful listening, and an understanding of how important it is to feel heard and supported. These qualities are a natural foundation to my work as a celebrant.

Professionally trained. Personally curious

I am a trained celebrant and a member of the International College of Professional Celebrants. Alongside my professional training, my work is guided by curiosity and a genuine interest in people. I enjoy learning, whether that is learning about others, their lives and experiences, or continuing to develop my own understanding of language, ceremony, and the ways people mark important moments.

Smiles, stories and shared moments

I am naturally sociable and love spending time with people, enjoying conversation, shared laughter, and the sense of ease that comes from being fully present with others. People often describe me as warm and smiley, with a real love for life, and I bring that same openness and energy to the relationships I build and the ceremonies I lead. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, places, and ways of life, all of which influence how I listen, connect, and tell people’s stories.

Shaped by creativity

Creativity is an important part of who I am. I have a long-standing love of dance, particularly ballet and tap, and have also had the joy of teaching children to dance. Through both, I have learned about rhythm, pacing, patience and expression. These qualities quietly shape the way I craft ceremonies, with careful attention to flow, timing and how words are felt as well as heard.

Celebrating love and life

At the heart of my work as a celebrant is the sharing of love. Whether I am celebrating a couple’s commitment on their wedding day, welcoming a child into a family, or honouring a loved one at a funeral, love sits at the centre of every ceremony. It would be a privilege to work with you to create a ceremony that feels meaningful, personal, and lasting.
